Akiyama, Saneyuki (1868-1918) Was a Japanese naval officer who served as staff during the Russo-Japanese War. He served as a navigation officer on the gun vessel. Saneyuki served in attacks on Weihaiwei. He was also famous as a planner of Battle of Tsushima.
Akiyama, Yoshifuru (1859-1930) served as a commanding officer of a cavalry brigade during the Russo-Japanese war. During the war, he commanded the 1st cavalry and fought with distinction. He led his troops in the Battle of Shaho, Battle of Sandepu, and in the Battle of Mukden. He is considered the father of modern Japanese cavalry.
Ando Sadayoshi (1853-1932) served as a commander during the Russo-Japanese war. As the war broke out he commanded the 19th Infantry brigade.
